Don't let the weather the past few days fool you, winter is on the way and that means it's time to get set for another season of skiing and riding. Fortunately, SKEEZE and OTL have been working tirelessly on just the thing to get your stoke flowing...SNOWSTOCK 2006! On Friday, Nov 10th we've got two showings of Teton Gravity Research's sick new film Anomaly @ 6:30 and 9 PM inside Garrison Theater at Scripps (just north of Honnold-Mudd), plus live performances from The Sammies, Humble, and Rifle Recoil, a RAIL JAM, sponsor/vendor booths left and right, and athletes including pro Zach Leach (featured in Anomaly).
To top it off, we've got the best schwag bag this side of the San Gabriels. Everyone attending receives a Mt. Baldy lift ticket, Chipotle burrito, Jamba Juice smoothie and giftcard preloaded with up to 500 dollars, 21 Choices, Domino's Cinnastix, magazines, stickers, and more! Total retail value is over 60 big ones and this isn't including the "real" prizes that are being raffled off at the event, plus you're getting a movie and a concert. Sweet deal, no?
Tickets are 8 dollars w/ 5-C ID (10 w/o) and are on-sale now at ASPC, Huntley, SARLO, CMC Dean of Students, OTL Shindigs, and at the dining halls. Tickets are also available to the public and we are expecting to sell-out rather quickly, so hurry!
This is the first time something this ambitious has happened at the 5-Cs in a long time, especially from clubs, and if we're successful this year, then it'll be that much easier to go bigger and better next year. Early on, we were told to expect no more than 100 people from the 5-Cs...let's prove the naysayers wrong. Get excited and get your friends excited!
Check out www.skeeze.org if you haven't already, it's probably the steeziest club website around (besides OTL) and it has all the details for the event including a trailer for the film and more.
Hope you all are excited for the new season and we'll see you at SNOWSTOCK!
